Handling Revisions & Disputes

In any creative or technical project, feedback and revisions are a normal and healthy part of the process. CollabraChain is designed to handle both simple feedback and more serious disagreements in a structured and transparent way.

This page will guide you through both scenarios.

The Standard Revision Loop

This is the most common scenario: the Project Creator is generally happy with your work but has requested some changes.

How It Works

The revision process is simply a conversation. It happens directly in your project's group chat. There are no special commands needed.

  1. Receive Feedback: The Project Creator will provide their feedback on your submitted work.

  2. Discuss & Clarify: Use the chat to ask questions and ensure you fully understand the requested changes.

  3. Provide the Updated Work: Once you've made the revisions, share the new version of your deliverables in the chat (e.g., a new file, an updated link).

  4. Await Final Approval: The milestone's status will remain Pending Approval. You do not need to use the submission command again.

💬 Example Revision Dialogue:

Creator: "@ben.base, this looks great! Could you just change the main button color to our brand's blue and make the logo a bit larger?"

You: "Absolutely. Good feedback. I'll make those changes now."

(A short time later)

You: "Okay, I've updated the Figma link with those changes: https://figma.com/link/.... Let me know what you think!"

When Disagreements Happen: The Formal Dispute Process

While rare, there may be times when you and the Project Creator cannot agree on whether a milestone has been completed successfully. For these situations, CollabraChain provides a formal dispute process to ensure a fair resolution.

How a Dispute is Triggered

If a Project Creator believes the submitted work does not meet the agreed-upon requirements, they can issue a command to the AI agent to formally open a dispute.

⚠️ Dispute Opened: You will see a clear message from the AI in the chat.

🤖 AI Response:

A dispute has been opened by @creator.base for "Milestone 2: Ad Creatives & Copy". The milestone status is now 'In Dispute'. A 48-hour mediation period has begun.

What Happens Immediately

  • Status Change: The milestone's status changes from Pending Approval to In Dispute.

  • Funds Remain Locked: The payment for the disputed milestone remains securely locked in the smart contract escrow. No one can access it until the dispute is resolved.

Your Role in the Dispute Resolution

  1. State Your Case Professionally: This is your opportunity to present your side. Calmly explain why you believe the work meets the milestone's requirements. Refer back to the initial project proposal and any relevant conversations in the chat history. Provide clear evidence.

  2. Participate in Mediation: The AI facilitates a timed mediation period (e.g., 48 hours). Use this time to negotiate with the Project Creator to find a mutually agreeable solution. This could be agreeing on a final set of revisions or a partial payment.

  3. The Final Vote (If Mediation Fails): If no agreement can be reached during mediation, the AI will trigger a vote among the designated project stakeholders. The outcome of this vote will determine the final distribution of the milestone's funds.

The goal is always to resolve the issue through discussion first. The formal dispute mechanism exists as a final safety net for everyone involved. Once the issue is resolved and the creator approves the work, the project moves to the final, positive step.
